biography ![]() A lot of rich people spend a lot of money on a lot of ugly things. Now if f I was a millionaire, I think I would buy only beautiful things. I am not a millionaire. However, there is a satisfaction in simply finding beautiful things. It's nearly as fun as having them. Just less expensive. So rather than filling my shopping cart with all these beautiful things, I will simply put them in Her Octopus Garden. |

Tuesday, October 12, 2010 ...Simply so that I can begin decorating said house with all of the things I have in mind. One of those first things would involve taking my staircase and turning it into this--a bookcase staircase: ![]() And just to make it extra special, I am going to dedicate an entire shelf to all those books from childhood that I convinced my mom to save. To think, all of my favorite books as a kid will be at my fingertips...(err, more like toe tips) from "Max, The Bad Talking Parrot" to "Days with Frog and Toad." Mmm... The other shelves will be lined with musty, antique books. They will have dust in-between their yellowed, cracked pages, and will smell old and rustic when you open them. It's a requirement. ![]() ![]() I knew this was a good idea. |
