Hope Ammen
A lot of rich people spend a lot of money on a lot of ugly things. Now if f I was a millionaire, I think I would buy only beautiful things. I am not a millionaire. However, there is a satisfaction in simply finding beautiful things. It's nearly as fun as having them. Just less expensive. So rather than filling my shopping cart with all these beautiful things, I will simply put them in Her Octopus Garden.

Anthro-pol-oh-geez-la-weeze you're gorgeous

If I could buy anything.
If I could have anything.
If simple adoration was enough to purchase an item.

These are the things in her Octopus Garden.
And what better source for my first post then that place that actually makes my heart hurt when I walk through its doors. That place who's email's in my inbox are to be avoided when I am depressed, because the beauty contained within this one place will only add to my dreariness as it taunts me with eclectic prints, rich texture, and divine patterns.

Anthropologie.

dresses.belts.jewelry.shoes.furniture.accessories.

Oh, look, now that you've got me started I won't be able to stop.

---

Simple, yet unusual, I find this dress to be beautiful. Texture is everything.

And can anything be better than an interesting belt? The detail, color, and texture of this one captivate me. It would upgrade any outfit to a million bucks.

And you are not allowed to laugh at me for loving this clutch. Are you kidding me!? I would take it with me everywhere. Proudly.

Oh no, furniture. It's what usual hurts the most. Probably because A) I currently do not have a mansion available to decorate and B) The price tag has no less than four digits. My bank account does not follow that same rule. But this sofa would be the perfect centerpiece for that future vintage, eclectic living room I plan to decorate in my home in the south of France.

And in front of it? I can't help but want to see this rug. I don't even know why I love it. But I do.

Ant that, my friends, is only the beginning of her Octopus Garden.

*WARNING: do not enter the NYC Anthropologie [which just so happens to be the size of a small country] with OUT a box of tissues in hand, for it WILL reduce you to tears. If you have a soul.
